Our mission is to put some extra love, happiness and purpose into the lives of our customers and their families. Raising, caring for, and working with animals is simply a rewarding endeavor that brings out the best in people. So to accomplish that mission, we strive to breed and raise animals that anyone can handle, manage, and easily keep on their property with zero headache. We love to cater to first time livestock owners, and be a life long open resource to help them on their journeys.

Our top priorities are health, genetics, behavioral tendencies, and temperament. Our cows are on the smaller size for the breed, which makes them easier to handle, and opens up owning one to people with smaller parcels of land. That said, our cows are not so small that we begin to see health issues. Along with the sizing characteristics we breed for, we also have some pretty cool and unique colors coming through the herd!

We do our part to ensure all of our cattle are registered. We want to keep this breed alive and progressing for generations to come. The registration process also keeps our clients informed of the genetic lines of our cattle, so that we can be as transparent as possible with our clients and what they are getting when they choose FCF.

We also breed our two miniature donkeys with the same core mission. Beyond the cows and donkeys, we raise chickens (broilers and layers), ducks, and Berkshire pigs to feed our family, friends, and customers. All our animals are raised on pasture and rotated through different paddocks utilizing regenerative farming techniques. We strive to improve our land for our animals and the wildlife alike.

We also rent a bunkhouse (one bedroom, full kitchen, full bathroom, living room; above our garage on the opposite side of the property from the house) to help fund the farm and allow people to learn and enjoy the lifestyle. In terms of learning the lifestyle, we host individualized education seminars to teach all that we have learned from our journey. We’re an open book on finding property, construction, raising livestock, raising/processing your own food, and building a life worth living - all while keeping stress low and free time high.

Happy animals, living lives they were naturally intended to live, that feed people’s hearts and bodies - that is our purpose.
